This post consists bigger caliber (in electric and weight....) stuff. Well only that remote-contoller-thingy was purely because i was curious (still am, haven't tested it....)
These were too findings from auction store.
first, the remote-controller-thingy....dunno what else to call it :D. Case is sturdy, bit bulky, but hey, it's metal.
Hasn't seen much use, as keyboard doesn't show wear. Couldn't find any manual online, but i think it's some sort of programmable remote controller, probadly tv/similar? at least considering keyboard.
But, something at least google does help, back of the lcd has lcd controller chip (lc7930) and other (hd44780) is lcd/dot matrix driver. couldn't find info about those plcc chips....yet.

Now then, another thing found is just sturdy aluminum case with couple 48v SMPU's. These psu's seem to be better quality than those at my previous post. Another good thing about this case is acrylic window, and hinges (depenging on mounting place of course). Oh, and that fuse is also nice extra along that row-connector, don't have right connectors thought, but i'we seen those connector in my previous job which should continue in couple weeks by the way!

I left the best in my opinion as last, this dc-dc converter. This brick drops ''mains'' or, backup battery voltage, down to 48v/16A, so there is indeed some heavy-duty stuff inside. First of all, case itself is one huge heatsink, 19'' rack compatible. Backpanel has mounting holes for 12 TO-3 case stuff, and other mounting holes are plenty. Those big caps (made sure they are un-energized....don't want to dirt my pants/shout bad words) are rated 63v/6800uf, two 250vdc/1000uf and have plenty on 'lytic inside, at least they sound that way. Didn't bother testing with esr, they look okay. This seems to be sort of buck-converter, as it has also huge coils/transformers, and that power handling is also considering.
