1n4149 equivalent

hi all
im making this circuit tomorrow but i do not have any 1n4149 will the 1n4148 do the job ?
it says on the scamat 4148 but on the part list it says 4149
if i remove d2 and d3 will it still work as d2 and d3 is to stop the cycle when vcc+ is applied

1N4148 (or 1N914). Go for them.

I think the 1N4149 has a higher breakdown voltage, but that probably won't matter in most cases.
