I'm finally getting around to building a signboard/clock using those 2.2 inch 8x8 displays I received a couple years ago and I'm looking for a 1 to 2 amp N-channel MOSFET and wondering what you fellows may have come up with? Basically I need;

- 1 to 2 amps 'peak' current capability (12.5% duty cycle)
- low Rds(on) resistance
- logic level gate control
- small package, SMD is ok

TIA. Mike

hi Mike,
These are duals, smaller footprint.

I like to buy this kind of stuff on ebay. Search ebay for SI4834BDY.

It is a logic level dual 5A 30V mosfet, (Rdson 0.03 at Vgs 4.5V) and you can get them for 19 cents, qty 100, including shipping!

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I've settled on this 4 amp low gate voltage low Rds(on) unit in an SOT-23 SMD package;

Kind regards, Mike
