Z zoharl New Member Jan 13, 2008 #1 Hi, I have an electrical jigsaw which I bought in USA. It needs 6.5A, 120V, but my wall socket gives 220V. Would it be to complicated to build a transformer for it (up to 200$) or should I buy a new one? Thanks.

No, you buy a transformer and put it in a box - winding your own wouldn't be easy, and would be fraught with problems.
