Hello,
I had find recently 3(three) pairs of this kind of tranz.
Anybody got a schematic,a PCB file and the placement jpeg. for the part`s?
I whould like to beginne this project... Or maby U know a simpler one.
Tanks.

Sorry for my bad writhing i`m from Romania.

The 2N3055 is probably THE standard TO3 NPN power transistor, it's been used for years and years - basically it's 115W, 15A, and about 65V. You can use a pair of them in an amplifier to give about 50W, use two pairs for a 100W amp. They are also commonly used in linear PSU's, what sort of project do you have in mind?.

Hey,
I whant to build a amplifier, from ZERO, but as U said if I have three pairs then I whould have a 150W amplifier ?... Corect?
All I need now is the schematic, PCB file, the list with the parts and how to place them .
If I whould have these things I`m on my way to starting this project.

Marius.

P.S. My first project was a amplifier 4X50W/2X100W with TDA2030 and it has a preamplifier with corector ton with TCA5500 Vol/Bal/Bass/Treeble and with digital potentiometer and a VU meter with 15 Led on itch channel.

It depends on your speaker impedance, two will give 50W into 8 ohms, four will give 100W into 4 ohms - these are the common speaker impedances. For 150W you would require 2.7 ohm speakers.

You can't increase the output into higher impedances because of the voltage rating of the 2N3055 - you need different transistors for that. I've just been given a 300W PA amp, that uses eight 2N2442's in the output stage - these are similar to the 2N3055, but have a higher voltage rating.

All I need now is the schematic, PCB file, the list with the parts and how to place them .

You might like to have a look at **broken link removed**, Figure 1 is a suitable circuit - the TIP3055 transistor specified is simply a plastic version of the 2N3055. There should be plenty of designs out there on the net, even my old Leak Stereo 70 amplifier (classic British HiFi) used the 2N3055 as the output transistors.
