Our customer is using the 50Ohm B57236S0500M000
NTC in many of his offline SMPS. Eg in the attached
24v, 1A, 90-265VAC flyback.
Do you agree that this NTC can handle up to 1.9A rms?
I wondered if there is some temperature ambient to which that corresponds?
You would think NTCs would degrade over the years as they always run hot?

The datasheet shows at 65degc it has a res of some 14R. The Arms is 0.524A in the above flyback case. That would mean 3.84W...which would heat it up more, and reduce its res, but then its also running hotter...
