duffy Well-Known Member Jan 16, 2009 #2 12V supply and a 6.8Ω, 5W resistor in series with each. And a heatsink - these things get very hot, DON'T TRY AND RUN IT WITHOUT THE HEATSINK. Not the most efficient way, but it will light them up. The most efficient way to drive it is with a switching regulator set for a 700ma limit.
