accelleration of gravity

Gravity doesn't slow down light, it distorts space/time makeing it 'appear' to be travelling at a different speed. The speed of light is constant. Big difference.

That isn't true, it slows down when traveling through a dense medium.
 
SO you're saying (theoretically of course!) that a black hole doesn't pull light towards it, but bends the light to travel back? ??
