Well I can't read the language on the webpage, but there are a number of HEX files on the page, presumably the firmware for the programmer?.

I imagine that he doesn't release his source code?.

The language on this site is polish. You are right – the hex files are firmware update for the programmer but they contain “invalid” op codes. It seems that the bootloader in the pic decrypts these codes before actually write them. Without bootloader /or firmware taken from working pic/ these hex files are unusable …
