Accodring to USB specification A-A male leads are illegal, none of theses cables comply with USB spec.
Nobody will stop them from making it, but this is a violation of USB Spec chapter 6

Just imagine someone will use this cable to conenct two host PCs
he will parallel two 5V power supplies - ouch

In contrast, A-Male - A-Female cables are legal and widely used as an extension for USB dongles and thumb drives.

So why don't the police raid all companies selling them? or isn't it really 'illegal' at all?
