I have several editions of the book which I have bought over the years, 1974, 1981, 1989 and 2000.
I have to say that the 2000 edition was a disappointment to me, and I have hardly ever looked at it.
I also have the 1944 edition as an historical curiosity. It is interesting to see how things were done in days gone by.
Also of course the book was influenced by the global unpleasantness which was in full swing at the time. Some interesting technical insights there.
