AT commands support test software fo cellular phones

Hello, I would like to ask you for little help.

I am intending to start project - GSM alarm - using PIC MCU, but first I have to ensure that my mobile is able to communicate through AT commands

Once during net browsing I blundered on software working as terminal with feature to test AT Commands compatibility with many cellular phones (it should send certain AT command and after that wait for respond) It has predefined AT commands, so you didn't have to bother with typing them.
The problem is, that I didn't download it and also I don't remember name. I just only read about. And now I need this software but after two days seeking and googling, I still can't find it.

Does somebody know the name, has link, or know about some similar program please? It should communicate via RS 232.
