Confirmed Attachments should open in new window

Now clicking on an attachment link opens it in the same window which is a little frustrating, and in order to open it in a separate tab one needs to use the right-click which is somewhat frustrating too. Is this possible that an attachment opens in a separate tab once clicked the way it used to be before the update? Thank you for providing me (and others like me) with a learning platform which has influenced my life tremendously.
