Hello,

we are using PNA6602m ir receiver for our touch less keypad. the problem is that when user gets too close to the button the receiver will pick up heat from the finger and this gives us false signals between 0 and 5v.
Is there any way of getting rid of this heat effect?

Thank you.

I doubt if it is heat. More likely noise pickup. Can you post your circuit?

here is the circuit we are using. We are using this circuit for generating 38 Khz pulse. The output of the PNA4602m goes to arduino. Also we found out that the circuit generates 38Khz pulse for a while and then it stops generating pulses and then it goes back to generating pulses. Mind you that we have not connected pin 5 to pin 8, since we are not using the bi color leds.

I hope I am clear in explaining my problem. Your help is much appreciated.
