Cell phone signal Booster

I need a cell phone signal booster schematic or ideas to increase the signal to a cell phone.

I prefer an electronic schematic powered by a 9 volt battery but any schematics will do.

What sort of range? They do make boosters but they're only a slight boost and are fairly expensive. You can't build one, they are very complex devices.

I need a short range cell phone signal booster let's say 2-3 meters. Any ideas (schematics) are welcomed !

You pretty much have to buy one. Working ones start around $400 US. They're repeaters and very complex.
