Chat isn't!!!!

I just clicked on the chat icon and got presented with my personal conversation with another member!!!! Aren't messages between members supposed to be private? Why is my private message showing in chat?

I started to not trust on any promise of secrecy or privacy when, in this (blank) PC, after installing my fresh Win10, in the very third start, a full screen of brutal porn appeared with no warning.
 
I don't use the chatroom, but out of curiosity I just had a quick peep.
This is what I got at my work PC - Win 7 & IE 11:


Will check on my PC at home - Win 10 & Chrome - and see if there is any difference to the above.
 
I see the same as above.
 
Just checked on my home Win 10 PC - Chrome, Firefox & Edge all show the same as my work PC above.
 
Just clicked chat again and it still shows a private conversation with another member. I'd screen shot it but it's private.

I think you have actually to tell it to leave .. .. .. viz, click on your name .. .. leave conversation.

I've worked it out, for some reason it defaults to private conversations and to see the chat I needed to click the icon in the top left corner.
