Hi,

I am making a simple reversing motor circuit on a breadboard. Can you please check my breadboard diagram because my first 2 attempts failed. This is my third attempt. Please check my circuit design. It is for a rat trap. When the rat steps on the microswitch (push to make), the latching solenoid (represented as a motor) retracts allowing for the door of the trap to fall down. Attached are the circuit diagram, relay wiring and my breadboard. PLEASE, PLEASE help me by checking for errors in my breadboard.

Ahmad

Looks good to me. I'd say look at the relay contacts very carefully and make sure you're connected correctly. From the data sheet, the contacts appear to work a little differently than conventional.

I agree with BrownOut.

Please recheck relay wiring. For easier trouble shooting I have modified the manufacturer's layout with labels at the terminals.
