Hi friends
In dc characteristics of cmos,in region b pmos is in linear region and nmos is in saturation region. Since the output is unknown it has difficult to analyse how these transistors are in linear and saturation region. Please help me to crack this problem and analyse the dc characteristics

What is "region b"?

Not enough info for us to help. Post a circuit/picture.

The dc characteristics is divided into 5 regions. The second region in which pmos operates in linear region and nmos operates in saturation region when input voltage is between Vtn and VDD/2 is region b

What circuit configuration are these pmos and nmos devices in? Do you have a text book in front of you with a picture of these 'characteristics'? Can we see them? I assume Vtn is a transition voltage?
