P Pommie Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Jan 5, 2021 #1 I'm using the MSCC and got stuck when trying to setup timer one. This is what I see, I've set the main clock to 32M but it seems to insist on using 32k as the timer1 clock. Looking at just going back to doing everything from the datasheet. Mike.

granddad Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Jan 5, 2021 #4 I have deliberately steered away from MCC, did you say what PIC.. ?
nsaspook Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Jan 5, 2021 #5 Check the notifications tab for possible errors. I just checked the MCC timer 1 setup on a Q43. Looks normal here.

P Pommie Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Jan 5, 2021 #6 Morning time and it all makes complete sense now. An 8MHz clock will clock timer1 every 125nS. I was thinking (last night) that it should be pS!!!! As you were. I also realise the calculated period is counting up to zero. Mike.
