I have a HP probook 450 G5. The motherboard that is inside this pro book is a DA0X8cmb6E0. During cleaning of this laptop, I let a screwdriver fall onto the board and it punched off 2 or 3 very little parts of it. I thought nothing happened and so I re-assembled it. Now the laptop won't startup anymore.
I disassembled it again and found out the damage it had made. I can't find the parts anywhere because they probably launched somewhere into our room on the carpet! I think it's a condensor or conductor of some sort. I should be able to order and solder them if I could find out what they are and what they do, maybe measuring or something? Look at the pictures… Who can help please?

Hmmm. You mean, just try them in the order you subscribed? First a ceramic cap in 1n, 10n, etc... then if that doesnt work then try resistors 100k, then 10k, etc?

Yes i would try caps and then resistors from higher values to lower on places with missing parts.... Also post more photos. Full photo of mother board with location of damaged zone. I would like to know where is battery connector on board and connector from power supply. It can be some feedback that causing laptot not to turn on.

If it will work again, it would be absolutely freakin fantastic I cirkeled the problem area where the damage is, because people ask me photo's from the whole board to see the routing on it. Its near ram and bios battery, When battery is dead it just restore clocks, and in old laptops sometimes bios as well.
It could be part of switching power supply for ram ( i think it wont power on without rams). When you connect power supply to motherboard can you sense voltage at caps? 12V/ 5V/ 3v3 / 1v5 ?
for ground make measurement at any usb connector. Also touch motherboard with hand if its something getting hot. Before connecting laptop to power supply check vcc to ground if its not shorted, If you have labratory power supply limit maximum current. If not connect laptop with regular charger for few seconds, disconenct it and with hand try to look if something gets hot. If you find area when something gets hot use at least 90% alcohol, it will vapor fastest at components thats geting hot.
So at usb you should find 5V, near rams 1V5 or less, 3V3 near logic chips, GPU and CPU should be around 1V guesing.
What could be this? Mosfet?
