I want to power a small lcd (from a keyring photo displayer) with regular batteries. The small nicad recharge batt that came with the unit is 3.7v - 140ma. I tried using a voltage divider on a 9v batt (w/ 2 15 & 20 ohm 1/4w resistors) and was able to bring the voltage down to 3.8v. The display worked well but the resistors heated up bad. So now I'm trying to voltage divide a 1.5v batt to .7v (no prob., already done and working) and then connect it to two 1.5v batts on order to reach 3.7v. I have the .7 on one side and the 3v on the other but when I connect them I either get just 3v or some millivolt nonsense on the meter. Can I do this? Is there a better way!? Thanks - Olaf.
