control devices with avr controller using touch screen

please tell me how to interface touch screen with an avr controller and which touch screen will be better i have to control about 20 different appliances through touch screen

I've been pretty happy with the 4DGL touch screens from 4dsystems.com.au. They are reasonably priced, have built-in graphics language, a memory card to hold images, a touchscreen controller, and a serial interface (TX, RX) that will work with your AVR.
