When it comes to the HP requierments i'm not really sure yet but i guess a 5 HP motor wil be enough . .. I have had a look at the drives and most of em have features i will never use for my project so i had a look at this Microchip page
maybe i could build a cheaper solution more tailored to my needs ??? they have a demo motor controller board capable of controlling 1kw @ 400 volts..
