Hello, I am searching the internet for some help or advice on how to convert signals going into a plasma display into something that would drive an LCD panel. We have some industrial machinery (OLD) that uses a plasma panel which is now obsolete, and I am hoping to source an alternative. I was wondering if there is such a device that could take the plasma data lines and convert into relevant LCD data. According to the pinout (attached) the existing plasma has 3 data lines and H-sync V-sync. I'm wondering if these can be simply connected to some other method of display or if some kind of conversion board is available. I'm OK with a soldering iron but do not have the necessary electronic knowledge - so am looking for advice - thank you. Steve

They are also on ebay and amazon.
If you don't have any luck there, try Tsubis in Germany - they specialise in replacements for older machine tool displays.
They don't list Ishida, but may have the information needed to adapt something.
I think its possible with a PSOC 5LP type of solution, but a consultant would be needed
to do the design. Here is a basic example of generating necessary signals with 1 chip.
Thank you ! That article makes for some interesting and detailed reading ! - I shall look through it in more detail. It is sounding very much like its going in the direction I am looking for ! Thanks, Steve
