Costco tyres

Costco are quite happy to fit tyres to wheels that are brought in not fitted to a car. They even have a box to tick on their form for wheels on their own, so I left the car on the vehicle lift at home, took the wheels to Costco in the other car and got the tyres fitted.

I haven't yet conclusively proved that the car can work out which tyre sensor are fitted, but someone from the OEM who knows what he's talking about said that the car works it each drive cycle.

As the tyre pressures are the same at both ends, it could be picking up the pressures from the front tyres and displaying them as rear tyre pressures, and I wouldn't know. I will only know when I try adjusting the pressures.

Today some tyres had got as much as 3 psi low, so I topped them all up, and in doing so proved that the car had worked out which wheel was fitted at which corner of the car, as the tyre that I had just topped up showed as having changed on the display.
