I've just been to Cowley.
It's like Hinckley but without the nice bits, or like Corby but without the charm.
I don't want to go there again.

I once went to Great Yarmouth in January.
My thoughts were: "Well they kept that nuclear apocalypse quite, not a word on the BBC news!"

Gt Yarmouth twinned with Pripyat.

Cowley near Oxford. My mum says they used to make Cowley cars there. "Used to make.." something. Never good.

What other Cowleys are there?

I did electrical work there during my early years, saw the first Mini roll off the line, also I saw the first MGA at the MG plant just outside Oxford.
I used to bike to work past the site of original Morris Garage where they transitioned from cycles to Automobiles
Max.

Yes yes Morris Cowley - that's what she said! I forgot half of it :banghead:

I once went from Solihull to Birmingham on the train , passing through Tyseley it was like Chernobyl...
