Hello,
We removed the CAS (Crank Angle Sensor) from a 3000GT Mitsubishi vehicle and attempted to use power supplies to simulate each of the ECU input wires.
A: Ground
B: 12v
C: 5v - signal 120 degree
D: 5v - signal 1 degree
From my limited understanding of how the CAS works is that the photodiode should close the circuit and 'ground' the signal wire and the ECU will see this. The signal wires DO NOT ever change (1 deg wire / 120 deg wire) when hooked up to our power supplies. When we re-install the CAS back using the ECU, it works fine. WHY???
Thanks in advance!
