I need some expert advise , original dc permanent magnet brush type motor 180 v dc + controller board + keypad from a treadmill need to be re-used in another machine application .

Requirements
1. Reduce existing system speed from the 1.0-16.0 km.ph range to a new 0.1km/ph- 1.0km/ph
2. Motor direction change .
3. Want to use the existing controll + keypad + programs .

Would this be possible ?

Add a 10:1 gear/belt reduction. You may be able to swap the wires on the motor to switch direction. If not moving the motor to the other side of the drive belt will reverse direction.

Thank you for inputs regarding 1:10 gear ratio change ,ill investigate this today , the motor direction need to be changed fwd & backward , what would one need to add direction change electronically .

Depends on the motor. How many wires come off of it. If it has only two wires reversing the connections should reverse the motor.
