Debouncer

I have a switch that is hooked to a 4017 Decade Counter, but there is a lot of malfunction in it. If it is hooked to an astable 555, the 4017 counts fine, but i need it to work with a normal switch, so my question is, does anyone have a schematic or some debouncer help.

You can also just use a simple RC filter to debounce like this:
