Digital inputs and PFI trigger inputs on NI PCI 6259

Hi,

I want to be able to trigger the data acquisition using a digital trigger say on the rising edge but i am not sure should i use a digital input or the PFI trigger inputs on the DAQ. Also how do arrange them in labview.

Any help would be grateful.

Hi this is the VI working on. the digital goes from 0 to 5 V so to start the data acquisition the input digital signal should be greater than 3V. When i run the program, I see the indicator for digital input one flicking on/off.


any help please for a depressed electronic/electrical engineer.
