Please I have a diode that has the following marking ' BK 1250 ', can someone assist me on the detailed specs of this diode? Thank you

Look like SMBG14A which is TVD diode (Suppressor), meter would not show anything.

I actually had the chance to measure a similar one with good condition and the meter gives readings similar to an ordinary rectifying diode. After many researches I found some sites describing it as an 11 volts zener diode. Still no clear idea about what it truly is.

I might be wrong. My finding is that BK is marking code and 1250 year code.

What type of circuit did the device come from?

Unless you have some sort of a copycat, the Insoltech information is spot on.

That device was originally manufactured by General Semiconductor(LOGO) which was bought by vishay.
