Disasembling mini motors

Attached is a link to a micro motor I have, common in micro sized RC cars, and even pager vibrating motors. Can anyone offer any tips on disassembling one to rewire? It's only 6mm's across, the black notches on the left are MM's from a cheap ruler, and the green arrows are to the metal tabs that hold the motor case to the back like any generic smallish motor. I'm having trouble getting in to bend the metal tabs back with something small enough (an exacto knife tip) and something strong enough to actually bend the tab back.

I'd try the tip of a pair of wire cutters, or buy some music wire and start grinding it into something sharp enough. Some of the stronger dental picks may work.

It might be easier to just grind off the tabs with a cut-off wheel and just figure out some other way of putting it back together.
