Totally agree with all your saying!!!! 100% AGREED!!!! Thank you for replying... I guess what I need is a small cam with DVR attachment and SD card availability that can be wired to battery for power?? Hope this is right , I am ordering one today....
Oh and BTW I have always told her call me if she happens to drink or thinks the person she is riding with is drinking and I will come get her with NO ARGUMENT as long as she calls me, makes the decision to be SAFE and not jeopardize her life or anyone else

ok, if that is the road you choose, make sure to get one that has motion detection intervals, then it will only record the good stuff, and will save not only alot of space recording , but time it takes to preview.
then dvr may not be required..

when i was pup, my friend rolled his parents van, the officer dropped us off at the local coffee shop, when i returned 16hrs later the next day , he was still there, asleep in the chair with the remains of burnt license plate too afraid to go home!
another friend i had was not so lucky, he took out a bridge post trying to escape police..
in CA, you cannot even have a sip , which i kinda believe is extreme, but at the same time required due to all of the deaths,
when my elders were kids they told me tales of being totally hammered and the officer simply just escorting them home safely without any arrests, unfortunately the roads are more dangerous even when sober now adays.

Having raised 3 boys, I have a little experience under my belt. I can see you are really not inclined for parenting input, but since your choices of parenting style may have dire consequences and affect the lives of people outside your little circle, I will make a few comments then be done with it.

However I was the wild child and do believe kids need to have fun.

Drinking at 16 yrs old is against the law and should not be condoned, and alcoholism is a very big problem with many young teens. Drinking is a choice given to adults, not children and this is where parents must help their child make good decisions.

Your comment above leads me to believe that you are trying to be the cool mom, and be best buddies and all that. Well, your the parent, not the buddy, you need to decide the role you take and how you approach this issue.

I am one she can talk to anything about which is even more of a reason she best not lie to me.

Yet you are having to resort to spy cams despite your claim above. If the above statement were true, then there should be no need for spying, would there?

I opt for "spying" ... would rather have an angry kid than a dead one...

As has already been mentioned, who informed you that drinking and driving may be occurring? Seems to me that you already have what you need to know, or perhaps your in denial and do not want to accept the facts that have been given to you.

Well, that is all I have to say about this, and I will not respond to this post any further.
