I'm looking into making some of my own (very pricey) FPGA boards and (obviously) it's going to be cheaper if I get a bunch made. I can't afford to populate them all though and RAM ICs seem to be finicky in availability at lower quantities. I'm worried that if I don't get the specific RAM ICs right away, I may end up not having RAM to populate the boards with.

Do RAM ICs have standardized pinouts? They all look different, yet so very similar.
