Eagle designed pcb with ground plane enigma

Would anyone please be able to find out why the GND net on the schematic, although being connected on the PCB to JP2 pin 8, and although on the .brd display shows as being connected to the ground plane, is factually not connected to the ground plane.
Pin 8 of JP2 shows on the bottom copper layer as being isolated, yet when using the "Show" icon, it appears to be connected. But when measuring with a continuity buzzer, no connection is being measured between pin 8 and the actual ground plane, and for that matter with any of the three GND pads of the RFM95/96.
