eagle drc check

I'm going to be sending my first pcb out for fabrication, and I'm bringing out the fine tooth comb.

After setting the DRC specs to match the requirements of the fab company, I've fixed all the complaints. The only remaining issue is a vanity issue. I have my name and date as text, in the bottom layer. Eagle flags the text and complains about "Width"

Any ideas what I do to correct this?

Would it be allowable to turn off font checking under MISC in the DRC settings?

I could not duplicate your problem but then I do not know what setting you are using.

steps to recreate

1) open eagle
2) file, new, board
3) text tool -> "TEST" layer 16 selected
4) load default.dru that ships with eagle 4.16
5) run drc check, text gets flagged having a "Width" problem.

I tried turning off font checking, still get the error

I think I got the same problem when I tried to add text. It was not using the right wire width as the rest of the board either for some reason.

I set the RATIO of my text to 16, which results in a wire width of 8, and it passes the DRC now!
