Never mind buying and wiring millions of LEDs.

I just posted an LED chaser project. It is unique in that it runs from 3V, just two AA cells, and keeps running fine when the battery voltage drops to less than 2V. The LEDs flash with a short duration to save battery power.
I mounted 10 LEDs on a CD and they go around and around. The circuit has a speed control and a Pulse-Width-Modulation brightness control. I'll be posting a veroboard layout for it soon (I made a layout and circuit before I found a box for it that doesn't quite fit) and maybe a PCB later.

I like the chaser... I've been thinking about your sound activated led's. does the circuit you made before.. incorporate any "fading"?? The led's... is it random illumination according to the noise detected??? Is it possible to built a circuit with say, 70 leds which fade on/off differently according to the noise detected??
