what chip can i use instead of a 74C922, as the college does not have any of these. and there are no referances to similar chips that i can use

thanx

I'm not sure if this is going to help or not but NTE makes this IC "NTE74C922" and Fairchild Semiconductor makes this IC "MM74C922"

I don't see any listed alternates in IC Master.

hi

is there an alternative for a 4035 chip, which is a shift register?
i need two of them in my circuit, but college can only afford 1!

A 4035 is only 29 pence from Maplin! - it's hardly going to break the bank!.

If the school won't pay for it, have a few less chips for dinner and buy your own
