hi, Quick question. whats the other equations for power in electronics except:

P=VI

isnt there one with Isquared?

thanks

V=I*R

Substitute I*R for the V in P=V*I and you Get P=I*I*R or (I^2)*R

I=V/R, do the same kind of thing and P=(V^2)/R

thanks guys, hero999 that things excellent thankyou loads. that answers so many questions in one go:D

thanks again:D

Easier to remeber is:

Twinkle-twinkle little star
Power's equal I squared R

Interesting always the differences in the quotation for volts.

In the Netherlands U stands for volts
In English countries V or E stands for volts.

While I is standard for Amps worldwide
and P for Power in Watts

yeah but that gif helps with all sorts if you know the power and voltage you can find current etc theres so many in there. wish i'd had that before
