Fixing the dimmer unit for a Vava light

Hi
Im trying to fix the dimmer unit for a Vava lamp.

Attached how it looks like from the inside.

Just to be clear, Im not a technician, just a simple person who has lower than basic information about circuits & boards & electronics

Maybe white wire is open or bad connection.with a meter check for continuity from the circuit board to spring on the battery.

Can you please tell me where I should place the ends of the meter?
Also, which unit I should check? Amps or Ohms?

Hi Tony,

It was working fine. The battery maybe became a little weaker, however still performing.
