Hi I need some help please with the following project
I want to build a photographic flash trigger for my daughter’s school project can any one help me I will out line the specifications.
The triggering of the flash should ideally be by an inferred light beam being broken.
This will start a timer that is adjustable in hundredths of a second up to 1 second or more the timer completing its cycle will close a pair of contacts.
This will fire the flash. I am not very good at electronics but am trying to do my best for her as she is 11 and mad keen on photography she wants to take things like water drops bursting and things like that.
Can any one help me I have found loads of bits but no whole circuit I can understand
Thanks
Al

Al,

A lot depends on how "not very good at electronics" you are, and how much you are willing to spend. I'm assuming the the end product of the project are the photos, not the technicalities of the controller, since "you" are going to build it. What camera are you using? What strobe?
