Flashing LED with 1.5V Battery

Hello,

I am currently faced with a design issue. Basically, I've been tasked with making a 2v LED flash with a 1.5v battery. However, I'm only allowed to use first order and non semi-conductor circuits involving an inductor. So that means, no transistors, mosfets, ICs and transformers.

I've come up with an idea (attached pic) but I need a few more for comparison sake.

The other one that comes to mind is to charge 2 capacitors to 1.5v each and then with a switch put them in series to light the led.

Maybe use a relay to switch the caps and flash the LED?
 
Joule thief with astable multivib.
I built one of those and posted it on YouTube.
but,
it has a 3 transistors and inductor.
 
Here is a circuit I designed a number of years ago that works quite well
