help choosing microcontrollers

this is the first time im dealing with microcontrollers
i just want to know if my choice is good

i have A PROJECT to process human sound automatically
the controlling must be using USB interface
the processing to noise and echo cancelation
then transimt the sound bACK without saving it

i must do that with uControllers not DSPs

i choose PIC18 and dsPIC30F

i choose pic18 bcoz im intersted in the USB interface
and i chhose dsPIC30F bcoz this support noise andecho cancelation library

is it good or not ???

Well a dsPIC is a DSP - which is why it has those libraries. Is a dsPIC allowed?.

I've never had occasion to use one, but other people seem to like them a lot - and it sounds ideal for your project.
