Many compilers accept only valid ASCII characters. Your program listing appears to contain a lot of non-ASCII.

If it was created in a word processor, then load it back into that word processor and choose ASCII or Text output. It is not sufficient to simply rename the file to .TXT.

If that fails, contact the copyright owner and request another file.
 
You might get more help if you include the files as separate attachments rather than bundling them into one zip.

Although programming isn't my area of expertise, I agree with mneary, the code is packed with non standard characters which is probable confusing the compiler. It probably thinks you're giving it a binary file such a picture or executable.
