Hiya all

Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a type of switch (tilt or otherwise) that performs in a similar way to that shown in the diagram? I am rotating 4 switches positioned at 90 deg in a 360 cycle, and require only one at a time to make a connection when in a vertical (nr vertical) position! (if that makes sense)!!

Hope you guys can help!

Cheers

So why not use a single hall-effect switch mounted in proximity to the rotating shaft, with a four-window trigger wheel mounted to the rotating shaft? Or... if four separate switches are required, use four HE switches, mounted to the rotating member and indexed to a single trigger. This trigger would be mounted to actuate each switch when it is in the "vertical" position...

ChrisP's idea is a good one.

Another option would be a mercury switch, the black circle in your diagram is the mercury.

Another way would be to put a magnet on the shaft and mount a reed switch at the point you want the circuit to close.
