help needed on a voice activated door opener

hi
i am electronics and communication engineering student and doing a project on a voice activated door opener. so i am little confused about what to use and if i want to use the speech recognition then are there any ICs found in the market or i can use the DSP so that speech is recognized. and can any body provide me with the schematic diagram for it.

You could just get the chip and make the i/o part yourself? With a 20-40 word vocabulary you could just about make a robot to open/close the door as well as "make coffee" and "feed cat"
