alec_t I tried the simulation, implemented and tried the circuit with the valve. Everything went on well. I'll continue working with that. I still don't know what's wrong with the other circuit but I'll also try KeepItSimpleStupid 's general comments.

alec_t everrything seems to work fine with the valves. Thanks. Although I still don't know about the other circuit's problem, I'll try doing what KeepItSimpleStupid 's general comments say.

it's not very common for a device on a 4-20mA current loop to actually use the current as it's power source. usually, the current in the loop is providing a control signal, and the device is triggered by the signal.

KISS's suggested weak pull-down on the FET gate is certainly worth including.
