I have a Milwaukee drill and the REMOTE ELECTRONICS ASSY.
Part Number: 14-20-0750 is burnt to a crisp. It looks like an epoxy ic about 3/4" x 5/8" and 3/16" thick which was cemented to a piece of aluminium. It is the speed control ic. and has 3 wires coming from it.
The tools current rating is 5 amps.

My question is if anyone might know what this component will most likely be.

Thanks for any and all replys.

It is mostly likely a TRIAC to control the variable speed AC motor on your drill. A quick Google search for exploded parts diagrams shows it as the driver on several Milwaukee AC power tools. These are usually TRIACS. You shouldn't have any trouble ordering a replacement. You might want to change the brushes on the motor too and while you are at it make sure the motor bearings haven't become damaged
