Help with ID of this diode.

Hi,
I know about the color code but I want to make sure that I am reading it right.

Colors are : white red yellow

I saw the color code for black and then two bands but not white and two bands OR is it a three band diode read as white red yellow? Which way is it?

If it was white brown yellow, then it is the common 1N914 switching diode.

Ok. But look at the datasheet about the color bands. see attachment.

Thanks for the help with IDing this diode. I am going to go with your assement that the second band is brown and time has made it look more red than brown to my eyes. Maybe I was just seeing red from frustation with the little thing! There is so much to learn and know about electronics. I believe that is why I enjoy it.
