Google 'LCDsmartie' or 'LCDstudio' and connect it up to your PC's parallel port. Not many components needed just a few passives. And it will at least show you what it looks like and whether its functioning. But yeah, Nigels answer is pretty obvious...
Unless of course you don't have it, and you need info on it? Google the part number for the datasheet. I believe thats an old varitronix part number. I'm pretty sure this is the datasheet fori it:
